Technique

Bottom-up, Worked flat, Textured Rib, Seamed shoulders

Construction

The vest is worked from the bottom up in one piece, back and forth, up to the armholes. Then, the front panels and back are separated and worked individually in back-and-forth rows to the shoulders. At the end, the shoulder seams are joined. The neckline is finished with an edging, and buttons are sewn on as the final step. To be worn with 7 – 10 cm / 2.75 – 4” positive ease.

• Bust Circumference: 84/88 (92/96, 100/104) cm / 33/34.5 (36.25/37.75, 39.5/41)”
• Width – 48/53/58 cm (18.9/20.9/22.8’’)

Recommended Yarn

• YarnArt Jeans (50g / 160m (175 yds), 55% cotton, 45% polyacrylic). Worked with 2 strands held together.
• For the cropped vest: 5.5 (6.5; 7.5) skeins.
• For the standard-length: 6.5 (7.5; 8.5) skeins.

Required Tools

5 mm/ US 8 circular needle (60cm/ 24” length).

Gauge

13 sts * 15 rows = 10 cm/ 4” in English Rib on 5 mm needles after blocking.
