Technique

Top-down, Seamless, Raglan (saddle shoulder/contiguous)

Construction

The Little Cardi is a slightly oversized cardigan, which is worked seamlessly top-down in one piece with 2 raglan lines on the shoulders. After working on the neckline, the yoke starts with short rows. Once the short rows are finished, the yoke is worked in rows until underarms. The Sleeves are formed by adding stitches. At underarm level the stitches for the Sleeves are put on hold and the rest of the cardigan is worked back and forth to the bottom. Then the stitches for the Sleeves are picked up around the armhole and worked in the round down to the cuffs.

Sizes

• 1 (2, 3): 82-89 (90-97, 98-107) cm / 32.5-35 (35.5-38, 38.5-42)’’ bust.
• To be worn with up to 10-15 cm / 8-10” positive ease.

Recommended Yarn

• Yarna Super Royal (70% Super Kid Mohair, 30% Polyamide; 250 m/273 yds per 25 g) – 8 (10, 12) skeins.
• Drops Kid-Silk (75% Mohair, 25% Silk; 210 m/230 yds per 25 g) – 3 strands held together – 10 (12, 14.5) skeins.
• Rowan Kidsilk Haze (3 strands held together) – 10 (12, 14.5) skeins.
• Lana Gatto Mohair Royal (3 strands held together) – 10 (12, 14.5) skeins.
• Valley Yarn Southampton (3 strands held together) – 10 (12, 14.5) skeins.

Required Tools

Circular Needles: 5.5 mm / US 9 and 5 mm / US 8 (40cm & 80 cm length).

Gauge

15 sts * 20 rows = 10 cm / 4” in St st on 5.5 mm needles after blocking.
