Technique

Bottom-up, In the round, Worked flat, Seamed (sleeves)

Construction

“Holiday” is an oversized top worked from the bottom up in the round as one piece until the underarms. The body is shaped by increasing stitches along the sides. Then, front and back are divided and worked separately in rows. The sleeves are shaped by casting on stitches at the sides of the front and back. After completing the front and back, the shoulders are shaped with Yo short rows and joined together with a 3-needle bind off technique. The sleeves are sewn together with a mattress stitch at the underarms. This top can be worn with the neckline at the front or back.

• Bust Circumference: 80-96 (96-112) cm / 31.5-37.75 (37.75-44)”
• To be worn with 15-25 cm / 6 – 10” positive ease (oversized).

Recommended Yarn

• Drops Melody (71 % Alpaca, 25 % Wool; 140m/153 yds per 50g) – 2.5 (3) balls.
• Lang Yarns Paillettes (55% Polyamide, 45% Polyester; 112 m/122.5 yds per 25 g) – 3 (4) balls.
• The pattern is worked with 2 strands held together throughout.

Required Tools

• 10 mm / US 15 circular needle (60cm/ 24” length)
• 12 mm / US 17 circular needle (60cm/ 24” length)

Gauge

9 sts * 11 rows = 10 cm/ 4” in St st on 12 mm needles after blocking.
